In 1996 the young violinist Jorge Jiménez heard Bach's Goldberg Variations in the famous interpretation by Glenn Gould for the first time - since then this wonderful masterpiece has not let him go. With a great deal of knowledge of the piece and by exhausting all the technical possibilities of his instrument, he fulfilled his dream of opening it up to the violin. In this arrangement, the Goldberg Variations now sound for solo violin, and Bach's six major "Soli" have grown: just as exciting and technically just as demanding.
